DAY 01: BANGKOK-CHIANGMAI (D)
Meet arrive at Chiang Mai airport, transfer to check-in at hotel. Free at leisure.
Eve Welcome Khantoke dinner at Old Chiang Mai Cultural Center, enjoy a northern-style dinner followed by folk dance and a hill tribe shows.
DAY 02: CHIANGMAI (L)
A.M Leave from hotel to visit Wat Phathad Doi Suthep is a most sacred temple containing a holy relic of the Lord Buddha. A panoramic view of the city can bee seen from here at 3,500 feet above sea-level, then transfer to Wat Suan Dok (A.D. 1371) where the ashes of Chiang Mai’s Royal Family are interred. Proceed to Wat Jed Yod with its seven spires and unusual architecture commemorating the year 2000 of the Buddhist era. Lunch will be provided at local restaurant.
P.M Visit Handicraft village tour (The famous Celadon factory and see exquisite high-fired stoneware being handmade by traditional methods. See Thai Silk and Cotton being woven on handlooms by the pretty girls of Sankampaeng and the colorful paper and parasol makers of Bo-Sang, see also Lacquer ware, Teak-Wood craving and Silverware making)
DAY 03: CHIANGMAI-CHAINGRAI (L)
A.M Visit the wood area north of the City to see Elephant at work at Mae Sa Elephant camp watch the elephant taking morning bath in the running steams before starting their day’s raining and work. See the demonstration of elephant at work. Visit a newly discovered, un-spoilt Meo Hill-tribe village and see Meo tribesmen and women living in authentic natural condition. On the way, stop at an Orchid Nursery. Lunch at local restaurant, after lunch transfer by land from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, via Hot Spring at Wiang Pa-Pao, also, visit Wat Rong Khun which is known as the White Temple. Then, and proceed to Chiang Rai transfer to hotel in Chiang Rai town for overnight.
DAY 04: CHIANGRAI (L)
Leave from hotel to boat landing, and take long tail boat trip on Kok River to Karen hill tribe village (About 2 ½ hrs) and return by boat back to boat landing. Lunch will be provided at local restaurant. Visit Chiang Saen (A.D. 1260) on the steep banks of Mae Khong River, opposite to Laos and witness some magnificent ancient ruins and temples.Continue on to the Golden Triangle area, where the border of Thailand, Burma and Laos. Return to the hotel.
DAY 05: CHIANGRAI-BANGKOK
Free at leisure till transfer from hotel to airport.
